This policy (together with our terms of website use [https://www.thesystemslab.io](https://www.thesystemslab.io?hsLang=en) sets out the basis on which we The Systems Lab Ltd, registered number 11922123, Portland House, Belmont Business Park, Durham, DH1 1TW will process any personal data we collect from you, or which you provide to us, in the course of using our site [www.thesystemslab.io](https://www.thesystemslab.io?hsLang=en) For the purposes of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, we are the data controller.
**YOUR INFORMATION**
When you use our site, there are a number of ways in which you provide information and other data to us. By using the site, you consent to us processing and collecting this data, on the terms and for the reasons which are explained below.
**HOW YOUR INFORMATION IS USED**
We may use your information to:
- send you our newsletters from time to time.
- ensure that content from our site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer.
- provide you with information, products or services that you request from us or which we feel may interest you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes.
- carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us.
- allow you to participate in interactive features of our service, when you choose to do so.

**ONLINE ASSESSMENTS AND BUSINESS FOLLOW-UP**
When you complete one of our online assessments, including the Operational Health Check or AI Readiness Scorecard, we collect the information you provide, including your name, work email address, organisation name, optional phone number, assessment responses and results.
We use this information to provide and email your personalised results and to administer the assessment you have requested.
Where you complete an assessment on behalf of a business or organisation, we may also contact you a small number of times about your results, relevant next steps and the option to book a results review. We do this where appropriate on the basis of our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries and developing relevant business relationships.
You can object to this follow-up at any time by using the unsubscribe or opt-out option provided in our communications, or by contacting [info@thesystemslab.io](mailto:info@thesystemslab.io). We will respect your request and stop the relevant direct marketing.
Broader ongoing marketing communications, such as newsletters, insights and general updates, are separate. We will only send these where you have chosen to opt in where consent is required.
We use third-party service providers, including ScoreApp to operate our assessments and HubSpot to manage contact records and communications. These providers process personal data on our behalf in accordance with our instructions and applicable data protection requirements.
**DATA STORAGE**
All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted using SSL technology.
We take your privacy very seriously, and will take all reasonable steps to protect your personal data, but please be aware that any data which you send to our site is sent at your own risk.
The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, processed and/or stored at a destination outside the European Economic Area ("EEA"). By submitting your personal data, you agree to this. We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.
**DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION**
We may disclose your personal information to any of our group companies (which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in section 736 of the UK Companies Act 1985) and also to third parties in the following circumstances: -

You have the right under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 to access the information which we hold about you. We may charge a reasonable fee where permitted by law, for example where a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive or where further copies of information are requested.
You also have the right to object to certain uses of your personal data, including processing for direct marketing. Where you object to direct marketing, we will stop using your personal data for that purpose.
